Earlier this year, I visited the student housing companies' board and after that I had the opportunity to write a column for their newsletter. Then I took the opportunity to address what everyday life as a student can look like, challenges with student housing and suggestions we hope for in the future.

During my studies, I have moved nine times. I have the fondest memories of my time in the corridor. This is where I got my friends and I still hold on to them today. Questions like where do you live, how did you find a home, how much is the rent and so on are very common first questions when you meet someone at the beginning of a program education or course. There is a lot of gossip and attempts to get a home - housing is simply one such thing that all students talk about. But it should not be who you know or which family you come from that determines whether you as a student get a home or not. Here, the landlords have a responsibility to provide housing on equal terms.
