Theme: Safety on campus

Students feeling safe on campus is a cornerstone of a functioning and inclusive study environment. Safety is partly about physical safety, but also encompasses psychosocial factors such as discrimination, harassment and social exclusion. A safe campus environment means that all students and employees should feel comfortable and be able to live, study and work without fear of threats or abuse.

How do we ensure that our universities are and are perceived as a safe place? What factors are important for all students to feel safe? How can universities and student unions work together on these issues?

Our guest is Peter Liljenstolpe, campus and security manager at Mälardalen University, and chairman of SUHF's expert group for security issues.
