SFS presents a memorandum with an analysis of the surrounding world and nine proposals for the 2020s' higher education pedagogy.
Higher education pedagogy is one of two focuses within the framework of the SFS political focus issue Prerequisites for high educational quality which is adopted by SFS members to apply for the period 2021/22-23/24.
The memorandum proposes the following policy changes:
For politics
- University funding stifles educational success
- National Award for Learning
- A national direction for the entire education system in Sweden
For the universities
- Set demands for pedagogical skill and follow up
- Promote collegial exchange and discussion
- Make sure that the teachers get time for higher education pedagogical competence development
For the teachers
- More formative elements in the education
- Commitment
- Competence development in student-centred learning and learning environments
