At the Swedish National Union of Students' general council meeting in Eskilstuna on May 6, 2023, the organization's new presidiumJacob Farnert will be the next chair of SFS and Klara Dryselius will be vice chair.
This weekend, over 200 representatives from the country's student unions will gather in Eskilstuna to make crucial decisions for the organization's future. Jacob Färnert, who is the current vice-chairman of SFS, will receive the council's trust to take up the role of chairman for the next fiscal year.
– Students in Sweden face major challenges ahead and for me it is an incredible honor that I have been given the trust to continue the student union movement's joint work for the students, says Jacob.
Klara Dryselius is the former chairwoman of Kristianstad Student Union, and has now been elected as SFS's next vice chairwoman. She has a long background as an active participant in student social issues at her university, and has an educational background as a primary school teacher.
– I am incredibly honored to have received the trust of the council to be vice president of the Swedish National Union of Students, says Klara.
