About SFS

The Swedish National Union of Students (SFS) is an association of student unions at Swedish universities and colleges and has around fifty member unions, which together represent approximately 350,000 students. Our task is to represent member unions and student interests, as well as to represent students with different backgrounds and from different educations. SFS was founded in 1921 and will celebrate 100 years of student influence in 2021.

Event coordinator

SFS is now looking for a coordinator to continue the implementation of the celebration of SFS's 100th anniversary. As coordinator, you will be responsible for implementing the celebration of SFS's 100th anniversary, which will be a party in Stockholm City Hall on March 19, 2022. In addition, part of the position consists of common tasks linked to the organization.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience in event planning. If you have previously been active in a student union or have experience in student and university politics, we see this as an advantage. As a person, you have a strong personal drive, are proactive and like to collaborate with others. As a coordinator, you are expected to be able to independently lead the SFS 100th anniversary celebration and implement the project together with SFS presidium and office.

We are looking for you as:

  • Has good experience in project implementation
  • Have good leadership skills
  • Have good collaboration skills
  • Communicates well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

The employment form is a fixed-term contract up to 100%, available immediately or by agreement with an end date of 2022-05-31. We have collective agreements for white-collar workers, industry and wage agreements for non-profit and idea-based organizations with partners Unionen, Ledarna and the Swedish Association of Academics through Akavia and are affiliated with the Employers' Alliance and apply individual wage setting.
