Vocational school

SFS also works to strengthen students' influence and rights within polytechnics. To support the country's polytechnic students, we have, in a joint initiative with the Swedish Agency for Polytechnics, employed a student representative.

Student representative

The student representative is available to everyone studying at a polytechnic in Sweden. If you feel that something is not working well in your education, or have questions about your rights as a student, you can contact the student representative for advice and support.

For student representatives

Each university of applied sciences programme has a management group where students in the programme are represented. The student representatives play an important role in student influence within the university of applied sciences by representing the interests of the students and contributing to quality work. To support the student representatives in their role, SFS has started the YH network and produced a handbook for student representatives.

More information and registration for the YH network can be found here. here.

Handbook for student representatives is aimed at student representatives within polytechnics. It provides an overview of what the role entails, how student influence works within polytechnics, and an overview of the polytechnic's organisation and the laws and regulations that govern it. The handbook is also aimed at organisers of polytechnic education, for example for use in the introduction to student representatives. The handbook is available below.
