We are therefore turning to you as head of department, dean and equivalent: it is your responsibility to know which emissions are caused in your particular business, to see their context and to actively use that knowledge to reduce emissions to levels that are compatible with a future. The efforts must be systematic and supported by faculty or university-wide tools that make it possible to start as closely as possible from an analysis of the actual emissions. You need to be able to answer the question: Who is responsible for which part of the business's emissions and what can be done to reduce them?
