Debate: Resources for higher education are eroded by the crisis

In order for universities and colleges to be able to educate more people, and in addition to have the opportunity to provide a high-quality education, the erosion must be stopped. Annual cuts in funding for higher education have been allowed to continue for decades. This has affected the quality negatively and had consequences for both students and teachers, and by extension the whole society. Swedish students have the least teacher-led time in Europe, an average of 11 hours a week, according to Euro student. For some fields of study, it is even lower than that. Self-study cannot replace students' time with their teachers.
