Description
The working group will, in dialogue with politicians, relevant authorities, business and organisations, take stock of the universities' ability to ensure the educational needs for:
1) civil defense and emergency preparedness
2) military defense.
Begin a dialogue about research needs for total defense and the crisis preparedness system.
Delimitation: Issues related to the universities' regular security protection work are not included in the working group's mandate. However, a representative from the Security Managers' Network is attached to the working group to ensure the necessary dialogue.
Members of the working group should initially be drawn from universities in the locations whose county administrative boards are responsible for managing the six new civilian areas. The Armed Forces are also planning adjustments to their regional division to facilitate collaboration with civil defense.
Once the working group has started its work, representatives from other universities will also be invited to participate.
